Forty years with a persistent wound
For more than forty years, Tadeo lived with a painful wound that reportedly began after a small cut or bruise from elephant grass while working in his garden. Over time it became a persistent problem that affected sleep, walking and participation in everyday life.
A journey to Zirobwe
In January 2018, Tadeo attended a community Health and Happiness outreach in Zirobwe. The programme included health education, nutrition guidance, hydrotherapy demonstrations and basic natural-remedy support. His wound was soaked, cleaned and dressed, and an activated-charcoal poultice was used as part of the outreach care.
Continued care
Follow-up support was arranged through the Bugema University dispensary, where the outreach account says he continued receiving wound cleaning and dressing, activated-charcoal poultices, nourishing food and moringa powder.
Reported outcome
According to those involved in the outreach, the wound improved substantially over the following weeks and was reported to have closed after continued care. The experience also helped Tadeo return to activities he had withdrawn from, including church attendance.
“I had lived with this wound for many years, but God had not forgotten me.”
